Thanks again!

I just received the Vampire Boots. They are spectacular! I will see to it that pictures are taken in full costume at our Halloween Costume Party. They are so fabulous. If anyone ever would have told me that I could wear a pair of knee high boots, I'd have laughed. I could dance in these! You have enhance my life with the work you are doing for me. After the first two pair of boots, I think we'll go to shoes for a bit. After a couple pair of those, perhaps the Pirate Boots. Then back to something else.

Thanks, Mary

SO I was like a kid at Christmas today! There was this nice brown box from you waiting for me on my doorstep when I came home from work- SO I totally went and pulled out the red "hose" that I am going to wear with the shoes and put them on. I didnt want to ruin the leather so I undid the buckles and used a shoe horn to slip them on then re-did the buckles when my foot was in the shoe- I think that is how they would have done it "back in the day" too- they fit just PERFECT! the right shoe is the teenee tiniest bit tighter than the left, and the buckle was a little harder to re-do, but I think it is also because it is the end of the day and after being on my feet at work, my feet must have swollen a little- but still- OH SO COMFORTABLE, and being leather I am sure my foot with eventually just shape it and give it a little extra give with wear- but truly PERFECT!
I will definitely send you a picture for the rogue's gallery when I have the costume all on and am ready for faire.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I already want to start thinking of a new pair for next year :-)

Your company made Elizabethan shoes for me a couple of years back, and they still look brand new even though I walked in rain for miles, and I even thought I didn't have shoes on.

I gave your website and a glowing recommendation to the President of an Oregon based Jane Austen Regency Society. I recently got into ball dancing with the Jane Auten Societies in California. There is an appalling lack of comfortable Regency shoes and modern ballet shoes, which comes closer, just don't cut it. I told her to check out your website, and she just wrote back and said she will pass it on to her members. These societies network with each other. So, if you start getting inquries about English Regency shoes, I just want you to know how it happened. The societies have multiple functions throughout the year.

Sincerely,
Joanna

Sorry for the long delay. I received the shoes, and they are
fantastic. Thank you!

I'll see about a picture, though I don't anticipate wearing the dress
they "officially" go with for a while yet.

Thanks, again!

Hail to thee, Mary!

My apologies for the late reply. The shoes have been serving me very, very well, and my only complaint is the fact that, due to the dust and mud, they get covered up and begrimed and fewer people can admire them. Believe it or not (and you probably do believe it, since you've made pairs like these before), they've gotten many compliments, including ones from the director and the costume advisers. I'm the only male member of the royal court who isn't wearing full-on boots, and they complement the attire perfectly.

I've attached a few pictures. Tell your workers that they've done a fabulous job!

Sincerely,
Noah Brown/Prince Nicholas of the Arizona Renaissance Festival

Mary,
As far as altering the court shoes, I am glad to hear that you think this is possible and practical. This will add a great deal of versatility to them for me. Oh and by the way, they are very comfortable.
I will leave the details up to you regarding white vs. black. I agree that white will look better if it will cover, and if not then we will go with black. How much would you like for this alteration, and would you like for me to send them back?

The court shoes are great, I love them. The white is so much more complimentary to the suit(s)... thank you once again.
Thanks as always,
Jason

Hi Mary: I received the gloves today and they are great, a little too great for what I was going to use them for. They look so good I don't want to ruin them. First, you were right, the left thumb does need to be shortened about 3/8 to 1/2 inch.
Now can this be done? I have a pair of thin leather gauntlets not even near the quality of my new ones. If I send the left one to you along with the left one we used for a template can George do his magic again? I use the gloves at the Old Fort in St Augustine when we fire the cannons and they take a lot of abuse and I don't want to hurt the new ones.
Can you call me tonight or tomorrow so we can talk about it? As always thank you. Ron

Mary,

I can't thank you guys enough for how great my boots are. They look and feel great. I put them on early Saturday morning for a photo shoot for the newspaper and ended up not taking them off until after the premier of The Hobbit was done at 3:00am the next day! They felt great the entire 19 hours I had them on! Quality work and money well spent. Thanks again,

Hi Mary, I wanted to let you know I received the boots. They look fantastic and fit perfectly! Both you and Mario did an excellent job! Thank you very much for your time and patience! Definitely the best customer service I've ever received! Thank you! I'll be sure to send you pictures of my completed costume when I get a chance. Also, I plan to post a blog on The RPF (http://www.therpf.com/). Should I do so, I'll be sure to credit you for the boots and post a link to your page. Thanks again!

I've been extremeley busy this past weekend, but I wanted to let you know that the boots did arrive on Friday and they look and feel FANTASTIC! You're right, the color is wonderful and I wore them all day on Saturday. I have a photo shoot planned for December 14th with my fiancee (who is doing the Arwen costume) and I'll be sure to send pictures. Thanks again!

The boots arrived Thursday via UPS. Wow! They look great! I'm so glad I was able to go to you for these boots. The fit seems fine and also tells me what pants I should look for (something thin and soft to make sure I can tuck them in). Shouldn't be a problem.

Hi Mary,
They did arrive, and I got to try them out at AnTir/West this last week and they were great! The left boot fits amazingly; the right is just a tiny bit snug when trying to get it on. I haven't tried your trick of using powder to ease the process, so I will let you know if that doesn't take care of it. People were asking me who made the boots and said they were not only beautiful looking, but some of the most solid craftsmanship they have ever seen in something like that, and I was sure to let them know that it was you and your team. I completely forgot to get a picture taken of them, so I will have to get that to you next time I'm garbed up with them.
Thanks,
Dan
